SANTA ARRIVES EARLY FOR TRL OWNERS

Dec 16, 2022

We trust there’s plenty of Christmas cheer coming the way of TRL owners across the 3 States.

It’s been a busy week with 5 TRL runners across a 7 day period starting with Bellinger on Wednesday and concluding with Greylander next Wednesday.

UPCOMING RUNNERS:

  • The Big Goodbye, Dec 17 – Eagle Farm
  • Maroon Magic, Dec 17 – Gold Coast
  • Greylander, Dec 21 – Doomben
  • Team Captain, January 1 – Sandown
  • Helluva Barty, January 7 – Gold Coast
  • Bellinger, January 7 – Sandown

Good luck to all Owners and now let’s check out the major chances of your TRL Trainers this Saturday.

A GOODBYE RECORD TO CHERISH

“I’m convinced that he’s a better horse now than he’s ever been,” Rob Heathcote said of The Big Goodbye.

The Big G lines up in the lucky last at Eagle Farm and according to the stats will be hard to beat. In 3 starts at Eagle Farm The Big Goodbye has never missed a place and has never missed a place first-up.

MAROON MAGIC TO SHINE

“Maroon Magic had a nice freshen up since that tale of woe last start at Grafton and will run well on her home track” Toby Edmonds said

She won her Maiden so well at her first start and then was beaten before the barriers opened last start when a riderless horse stirred her up pre-jump.

On her maiden win, from barrier 4 she should be hard to beat.

GOLLAN PUTS THE BLINKERS ON GREYLANDER

“Greylander looks good, we’ll whack the blinkers on for next Wednesday, that’s what’s needed” Tony Gollan said.

Your big grey is scheduled to step up to 1400m at Eagle Farm next Wednesday at Eagle Farm with Tony confident of a bold showing after he was beaten by a whisker last start at Ipswich.

GAI AND ADRIAN TO FILL THE XMAS STOCKING

I reckon we can fill the Christmas Stocking courtesy of Gai and Adrian this Saturday.

Zoumon (Race 4) did the right thing by us last start, is looking for 3 straight wins and just needs a soft lead.

Nothinsweetaboutme (Race 10) is at the juicy odds of $15 and has won twice fresh.

FREEDMAN’S ACROSS TWO STATES

The good news from the Freedman camp is that Luna Rocks is recovering from her bout of cardiac arrhythmia.

Richard and Will have two good chances across two states in On The Lead (Race 9) who’s already been backed from $16 to $13 and Fashion Legend up in Brisbane who’s coming off a good win at Gosford last start and that form should hold up.

BET: Fashion Legend – Win (Eagle Farm)

VOWMATER FOR NEWNHAM

Really positive reports from Mark Newnham regarding Cool Jakey’s progression at his Randwick stable.

While on Saturday it’s worth following Vowmaster (Race 5) he’s won his last 3 straight takes the claim for Tyler Schiller is tough and fit.

BET: Vowmaster – Each Way (Randwick Race 5)

MOODY WITH A DOUBLE CHANCE

Peter Moody can book-end the day at Flemington.

She Dances (Race 1) is a $10 chance coming off a win and likes the Flemington straight.

The fifth foal of champion Black Caviar, Invincible Caviar looks like Moody’s best of the day.

While in Victory Bay (Race 9) was caught wide last start and is now ready to peak.

BET: Invincible Caviar – Win (Flemington Race 5)

IT’S UNANIMOUS FOR CIARON

The best bet from Ciaron’s yard appears to be Unanimous (Race 3) who’s been in great form this prep and is coming off a good second last start.

No Way Ever (Race 3) is at the attractive odds of $10 and has won twice first up before.

Persan (Race 6) doesn’t win often but is honest and should go extremely close.

BET: No Way Ever – Each Way (Flemington Race 2)

BET: Unanimous – Win (Flemington Race 3)

Good luck and good punting.
