Kim is a trailblazer, first as a champion harness driver and trainer before switching with enormous success to thoroughbreds. She has experienced Group 1 glory winning the Sydney Cup with Mahtoum, who went on to finish fifth in the Melbourne Cup.
While training out of the Wyong Race Club, Kim also has a state-of-the-art spelling and pre-training farm within a stone’s throw of the track. It is her passionate love of not only the horse but all animals that draws people to Kim and her training expertise. Yes, Kim is married to test cricket legend Mark Waugh and the good news is that Mark is no longer allergic to horses. Kim has a good opinion of Sidenay who she trains for the NSW Tycoons.
