Well, it’s official. Owners in the NSW Tycoons have decided Cool Jakey will be trained by Joe Pride.
With Mark Newnham now making the move to Hong Kong, Jakey was looking for a new home and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome trainer Joe Pride back on board.
As some of you may know this is not the first horse Joe Pride will train for The Racing League. Pride originally joined the NSW Tycoons when he trained Penso a Lei, who gave the NSW Tycoons plenty of entertainment before being sold last year.
Joe Pride is currently ranked 4th in the NSW Trainer’s premiership based on prizemoney and has arguably one of the best sprinters in the country currently with ‘Think About It’.
Joe’s reputation as a master trainer of a tried horse is second to none and there’s no doubt ‘Jakey’ is in good hands.
So it’s a big welcome back to Joe and we look forward to him working his magic when Cool Jakey returns from his elbow injury.
